Draft for review. This page is a plain-language summary written by the Tablecast team and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is not legal advice.
This explains what Tablecast (tablecast.ai) collects, why, and who else handles it. We collect what the game needs and we do not sell personal information.
What we collect
- Sign-in: if you sign in with Google, your name, email address and Google account ID.
- Game data: your characters, campaign settings and the messages, dice rolls and events of your games.
- Voice: when you speak to the Dungeon Master from a phone, the audio is sent to us and turned into text so the game can respond. We do not keep recordings of it.
- Email list: if you opt in to hear about Tablecast, we store your email address and the time you agreed. You can withdraw at any time using the link in any message, or by writing to us.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive the purchase details and a Stripe reference, never your full card number.
- Technical data: basic request logs (such as IP address and device type) for security and to keep the service running.
How we use it
To run the game, remember your campaigns, take payments, prevent abuse and cap usage, answer your questions, and, if you opted in, send occasional Tablecast updates.
Who else handles it
We use service providers to run Tablecast: Google (sign-in and AI models), other AI model providers, text-to-speech and speech-to-text providers (to write and voice the Dungeon Master and to understand your speech), Stripe (payments) and our hosting provider (Fly.io). Text and audio needed for a turn is sent to them for that purpose only. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Other players
People at your table see your character, your public messages and your rolls. Private whispers to the Dungeon Master are shown only to you.
Cookies
We use a signed cookie to keep you signed in, and browser storage for small things like remembering a seat. We do not use advertising cookies. For our own counts we log that a page or step happened, such as a visit to the home page or a finished tutorial, with a time and nothing else. Visits are counted once a day per browser using a random visitor-id cookie, plus a one-way scrambled value of the IP address and browser that is thrown away at the end of the day, so no IP address or identity is stored. We use no third-party analytics or trackers.
Keeping and deleting
We keep game data while your campaign exists and your account data while your account is open. Write to us to ask for a copy of your data or to have it deleted and we will do so within a reasonable time.
Children
Tablecast is not for children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, tell us and we will remove it.
